I do use Facebook on my phone so when I come on the actual Internet and see weird things happening it disturbs me. There weren't enough ads on Facebook already? Hurray, let's chuck some more in, smack bang in the middle of your feed. Let's put some updates to the right side of the adverts that are usually there so you're more likely to click on the ads by accident. Let's give you the option to 'change layout' or 'remove layout' and then just chuck it right back on there a minute after you remove it.
From the mouth of Facebook:
Facebook ads will never appear as banners, in the center, to the left, top, or in any other location. If you're seeing ads in these locations, or that flash or play sound automatically, we recommend that you disable any browser add-ons or toolbars that you have enabled for your browser. These programs have the ability to serve ads within open fields while you're browsing the web.
You can find more information about how to disable browser add-ons from the "Help" section of your browser's menu options. We also recommend that you clear your browser's cache before accessing the site again.
You can find information about how to perform this action here. Please take this action and ensure that the content you're seeing is generated by Facebook before reporting specific ads.
Facebook Ads display in the right-hand column of pages within Facebook, next to content throughout the site. Advertisers do not currently have the option to choose on which pages their ads appear. Ads are eligible to appear beside Applications, Photos, Groups, Pages, Profiles, etc. Only one ad will be shown on the homepage underneath the "Sponsored" title at any time.

Screw you, Facebook. I understand you're a business, but you're making me not want to
Gah. Anyway, I've been busy with my assessments but they're going well so far. I also managed to get involved in an OHS issue at work which damaged my arm and made me a lopsided crusader for justice. It wasn't actually a bad injury, painful indeed but all things considered it was minor and didn't impact on me too much.
It's just that it could have been avoided so easily. I wish I could say that I'm the only one this happened too but I can't. So I'm going to file a complaint and get some damn accountability going on here. Probably won't make me very popular at work but I'm not exactly aiming to join the world of butt kissers anytime soon anyway so that's a load off my mind.
Also had some home improvement going on with new furniture and some repairs. Panda's Evil came up for a visit so there was paperwork, fishing and shenanigans a plenty. Well, less shenanigans than usual - we just like to be accommodating is all.
I haven't had much time, energy or health to do any exercise this last week so that's made me a little miffed but that is going to be rectified and a half in this week. Several work functions this week too, including a trivia dinner to be had. I just hope they do something about the rampant cheating and iPhone usage this year.
Wouldn't it be funny if they crowned a cheater the winner, and gave the prize to the device? Everyone wants to win, but it's pretty sad if you can't get any answers without the Internet. I mean, it's meant to be general knowledge. It's also meant to be fun - but not with losers at the helm.
Well, I keep seeing things about Page Rage on Facebook... and I have discovered that the computer I've been borrowing has something called Yontoo layers installed in the browser and this may be the cause of the extra ads. Either way it sucks. Disable it if you've got it. I thought it was just one of those forced Facebook applications like that stuuuuuupid questionnaire thing they've got but I am apparently wrong. I hope I'm wrong.
Damn I miss my own computer.
